Russia-backed forces have attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 32 times in the past 24 hours; no Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in action, the press center of the headquarters of Ukraine’s military operations has reported.

“Russia-backed separatists have attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 32 times in the past 24 hours,” the press center of the headquarters of Ukraine’s military operations reported on Facebook.

In the Luhansk sector, separatists fired 82mm mortars at the soldiers of the village of Novoluhanske, as well as grenade launchers and heavy machine guns three times at the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Luhanske. In addition, separatists used heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Zaitseve.

In the Donetsk sector, the Ukrainian positions in the villages of Opytne, Novotroyitske, Lebedynske, Starohnativka, Hnutove, and the town of Maryinka came under fire from grenade launchers of various types. The separatists also used heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the Ukrainian troops in the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Talakivka, Pavlopil and Vodiane, as well as cannons of infantry fighting vehicles against the Ukrainian fortified positions in the village of Pisky.

Moreover, Russia-backed forces opened fire from small arms at the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Shyrokyne and Kamianka, and Butovka coal mine.

“No Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in action,” it said.
