Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin held a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Andrei Yevdochenko in Moscow, the Russian foreign political agency said on Monday.

“Karasin and Yevdochenko exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, which are of mutual interest. They focused on the situation in southeastern Ukraine and the ways to overcome the crisis on the basis of the Package of Measures to implement the Minsk Agreements,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on its website.

Besides, “the sides have discussed the topical issues of Russian-Belarusian relations, including the course of implementing the Program of Coordinated Actions in the area of foreign policy by the countries, which are the parties to the Union State Founding Treaty, for 2016-2017.”
