The authorities of Lviv have tightened the security of the Russian Consulate General located there, Olha Mateichyk, the spokesperson for the Lviv regional administration, said.

“The security of the Russian Consulate General has been increased. We herewith ask the public to hold protests in line with the current law,” Mateichyk wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile the National Guard of Ukraine has tightened security around the perimeter of the building of the Russian Consulate General in Kharkiv, Oleh Antybura, a communications officer for the Easter Territorial Department of the National Guard has said.

“The security has been tightened since this morning [Nov. 26] until further orders,” Antybura told a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

As reported earlier, in the early hours of Nov. 26, members of right-wing radical organizations held a protest in front of the building of the Russian Consulate General in Lviv against Russia’s aggression against three Ukrainian naval vessels ships in the Kerch Strait.
