MOSCOW – The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has forwarded to the Netherlands some additional files for the purposes of the investigation into the Malaysian Boeing’s crash in Donbas, Russian Prosecutor General’s Office spokesman Alexander Kurennoi has told Interfax.

“The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has provided representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Moscow, the Russian Federation, with the materials obtained in executing the request from the Dutch colleagues for judicial assistance in investigating the crash of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777-200 (Flight MH17) over the Ukrainian territory on July 17, 2014,” Kurennoi said.

“Regarding the statement by the Dutch side about the difficulties encountered in decoding the primary radar data on the situation in the air at the moment when the airliner had crashed, which the Russian Federation provided back in October 2016, the Russian side has repeatedly forwarded the data reformatted into ASTERIX, as requested by the Dutch side, with a detailed manual attached on how to handle the data,” Kurennoi said.
