A Russian citizen who fought in Donbas against the Ukrainian army was sentenced to 12 years in prison, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office press service said.
The investigators found out that the Russian arrived in Ukraine in December 2014 and participated in hostilities against the Ukrainian armed forces in Luhansk region until August 2015.
In a verdict dated Dec. 13, the Bilokurakyne District Court of the Luhansk region found him guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison, the statement said.
