You're reading: Russian wanted by Interpol for involvement in terrorism held at Boryspil

The border officers of the Kyiv separate checkpoint have held a Russian citizen, who has been on the international wanted list, at the Boryspil international airport during a check-in of passengers for the Istanbul-Kyiv flight.

“A 35-year-old Russian citizen has been wanted since May 2014 as part of the actions to search for criminals by the Interpol to hold them to criminal liability for the perpetration of the crimes, which were related to the participation in a terrorist group,” the Ukrainian State Border Service’s press service said in a statement released on Jan. 1.

The arrestee has been handed over to the Ukrainian National Police in compliance with the regular procedure.
