The debt of the Russian Federation under the claim of Oschadbank (Kyiv) for compensation of losses in connection with investments lost in Crimea will grow by $97,000 daily, chairman of the bank Andriy Pyshny has said.

“Some $97,000 – exactly this amount from today will be charged daily under the decision of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris if the Russian Federation fails to fulfill its obligation to reimburse Oschadbank for almost $1.3 billion of losses caused by the annexation and occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

As reported, the International Court of Arbitration in Paris on November 26, 2018 decided to satisfy the claim of Oschadbank (Kyiv) for compensation for losses caused by the annexation of Crimea by Russia.

The amount of compensation will be $1.3 billion plus interest, which will accrue from the moment the decision is made until the moment of actual compensation.

The hearing was held in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law of 1976, as well as in accordance with an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on promotion and mutual protection of investments.
