Battles are ongoing in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The enemy fires on Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Mykolayiv regions. Kherson region suffers a humanitarian catastrophe.

This is stated in the report by regional military administrations on the situation in the regions of Ukraine as of 08:00, April 10.

In Luhansk region, artillery and missile shelling of residential neighborhoods and places of evacuation of civilians from the areas of hostilities is ongoing. The enemy continues launching its offensive in the direction of Popasna and Sievierodonetsk. The attempts are not successful. In the morning, Sievierodonetsk came under fire. Two pensioners were rescued from the rubble. One person was killed and four were injured.

In Donetsk region, active hostilities are ongoing along the entire contact line. The offensive near Marinka was repulsed. The enemy shells Vuhledar, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Toretsk and Ocheretyne territorial communities. There is a partial power outage in the localities.

The situation in Mariupol remains unchanged. The defenders of the city hold the defense despite the blockade and significantly superior forces of Russian troops. Evacuation from the region continues, including by rail.

Several strikes were recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region at night, hitting a farm, industrial and infrastructure facilities. As of this morning, there is information about one victim.

In Kharkiv, the enemy again fired artillery and MLRS on residential areas of the city at night. In the region, the Russian forces try to advance in Izium direction, but the Armed Forces hold their positions.

In Mykolayiv region, the infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of evening and night attacks. According to preliminary information, there are no human casualties.

The situation in Kherson region is difficult. The residents of almost all localities heard explosions and shelling, especially on the region’s border. There are also reports on looting committed by the occupiers in the villages, throwing grenades at houses, taking away food and transport. Kherson region suffers a humanitarian catastrophe.

The other regions of Ukraine had a relatively calm night.

On Feb. 24, Russian president Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.
