MOSCOW – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will discuss Ukraine at their meeting in Vienna; Moscow does not accept Kyiv’s course towards the Minsk Agreement’s revision, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

“Naturally, it goes without saying that this [Ukraine] is a keynote issue traditionally discussed in the OSCE format,” Ryabkov told reporters at the Public Chamber on Dec. 5.

“After all, the OSCE format is where the subject of Ukraine has been discussed probably more frequently and intensively than on any other platform, considering the role played by the organization’s Special Monitoring Mission in Donbas. They simply cannot avoid a discussion of Ukraine,” Ryabkov said.

“Allow me to emphasize before contacts on Ukraine affairs are made on various tracks and levels that we are increasingly concerned about those events, because Kyiv has practically no will left to accept the logic of the Minsk Agreements,” he said.

“A course towards their total revision has been taken, which we totally refuse to accept, and we will openly say so at the meeting,” Ryabkov said.
