The European Union is currently not ready to make a political decision on visa-free regime for Ukraine, so it is looking for the technical reasons to postpone it, head of the Samopomich faction Oleh Bereziuk has said.
“Talking to diplomats during our trip to Europe with our diplomats abroad, they all say: a visa-free regime won’t be provided soon, because Europe is not ready to take a political decision today, as it finds a lot of technical things that allow to postpone it,” Bereziuk told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting the European Parliament’s decision to consider the issue of visa-free regime in the beginning of April 2017.
At the same time, the politician said that Ukraine needs to show not only the adoption of laws necessary for a visa liberalization, but also their implementation.
“I think there are many issues, both of technical, moral and political nature,” Bereziuk said.
