The leader of the “Social and Political Platform of Nadiya Savchenko,” Vera Savchenko, has submitted documents to register her sister Nadiia Savchenko as a presidential candidate in Ukraine without paying a deposit of Hr 2.5 million.
On Feb. 3, Vera Savchenko brought the necessary documents to the CEC accompanied by deputy party leader Tetiana Protorchenko, Interfax-Ukraine agency said.
They filed documents without making a monetary deposit, referring to Article 103 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which lists the requirements that a candidate for the presidency of Ukraine must meet, and doesn’t say about a deposit of Hr 2.5 million.
