In Kharkiv, members of the Security Service of Ukraine detained two natives of Donetsk region, who established an illegal scheme for the supply of liquefied gas from the Russian Federation to uncontrolled territories of Donbas.

The special service’s operatives found out that two natives of Donetsk region, who had moved to Kharkiv, organized an illegal business, the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reported.

“Since 2014, they have supplied the militants with liquefied gas through an uncontrolled stretch of the border. Some of the imported fuel directly flowed to illegal armed groups of the so-called ‘DPR.’ The dealers paid “taxes” to the fake republic from the funds received on gas sale,” the message said.

Law enforcers detained both lawbreakers in Kharkiv, they were notified of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 258-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of terrorism). The pretrial investigation continues.
