Ukraine’s SBU Security Service has arrested a resident of Melitopol, Zaporozhia region on suspicion she was working as an informer for the so-called “information service of the political section of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic.”
SBU agents established that the woman presented herself as a famous blogger in the region and systematically gathered and gave DPR officials information about the movements, dislocation, equipment and the number of Ukrainian soldiers involved in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in eastern Ukraine.
In addition, the suspect published anti-Ukrainian propaganda.
SBU agents confiscated the woman’s computer and communications equipment, as well as video and communications equipment.
A criminal investigation pursuant to Article 110 (harming state interests) and Article 258-3 (assisting a terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been opened.
