The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) together with the Military Prosecutor’s Office has arrested senior investigator of Kyiv police on taking a bribe, SBU’s press service has reported.
“Police’s captain demanded from the Kyiv city resident to give him an $8,000 bribe for the failure to prosecute the latter for the fraud committed,” the message reads published on the SBU’s website.
The criminal proceeding under Article 368 Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been opened.
An investigation is underway.
