The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was not guarding former Russian State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov, who was assassinated in central Kyiv on March 23, SBU spokesperson Olena Hitlianska said.
“The Security Service of Ukraine did not guard Voronenkov,” Hitlianska told Interfax on March 23, commenting on media reports alleging that officials from the special service were guarding Voronenkov.
