You're reading: Sentsov in his letter expresses hope and belief in good outcome

Russian human rights activist and journalist Zoya Svetova has reported that Ukrainian political prisoner in Russia Oleh Sentsov expressed hope and belief for a better future in his letter.

“I have received a very important letter from Oleh Sentsov sent to me on Sept. 25. A letter is full of faith and hope for the best, a hope, when there is none at all. And there is nowhere to draw strength,” Svetova wrote on her Facebook page on Sept. 26.

In his letter Sentsov thanks those people who continue supporting him “despite this protracted endless marathon.”

The Ukrainian film director believes in a good outcome of this whole story against all the odds: “Nothing is eternal, even bad things!”

“I did not expect that I would have enough strength to survive and I do not know how much is needed, but I do not give up, which I wish to all of you. Greetings to all good people!” Sentsov wrote.
