ASTANA – Ukraine will use the opportunities of the EXPO 2017 international exhibition of alternative energy in Astana (Kazakhstan) to attract investment, as well as import modern technologies in the country.

“Our task is to create the maximum contact field for our industry during the exhibition in order to raise the industry to a higher level. We are waiting for delegations from different companies, holding a business forum to attract investments,” Vice President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) Serhiy Svystil said when presenting Ukraine’s stand in Astana.

He noted the Ukrainian side is interested not only in attracting investments for business development, but also in establishing contacts for exports of Ukrainian products abroad.

“We are interested in exporting our domestic products, we have something to boast about and what to show to foreign countries, we are also interested in importing modern technologies,” he said.

According to him, more than 100 companies will represent Ukraine at the exhibition.

The National Day of Ukraine within the framework of the exhibition will be held on June 15. The Ukrainian-Kazakh business forum will be held on the same day.
