You're reading: Six wounded Ukrainian soldiers to be treated in Belgium

In 2019, Belgium will take for treatment six Ukrainian soldiers who were injured in Donbas hostilities, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Belgium Didier Reynders has said.

“Following the success of a similar cooperation in 2018, when 5 heavily wounded soldiers from Ukraine were treated in Belgium, I’ve decided to pursue the medical cooperation project in 2019 with our Ukrainian counterparts and welcome 6 Ukrainian military wounded in action,” he wrote on Twitter on Feb. 7.

According to the message on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Belgium, the Ukrainian military will arrive in March, the course of treatment will last six weeks. Belgium will cover transport costs and hospital treatment.
