SkyUp Airlines, which makes charter flights for JoinUp! tour operators, suspends its summer program to China for a period from February 3 to March 28 due to coronavirus.

The tour operator has told Interfax-Ukraine that it will bring back its tourists from China’s Hainan island on January 29 and February 1.

“From the very beginning we have been closely following the development of the situation with the coronavirus that broke out in China. Despite the fact that the World Health Organization does not currently regard this outbreak as a global emergency, and the Health Ministry of Ukraine and the State Aviation Administration do not recommend stopping communication between the countries, we decided to suspend the flight program to China from February 3 to March 28. The safety of our tourists is our highest priority,” the airlines reported.

The tourists, who have already bought and paid for the tours to Hainan, has a possibility to return cost of the tour in next few weeks.

As reported, the Health Ministry of Ukraine announced that on January 26 a temperature screening of the passengers would start on the direct flights from China.
