Member of Ukraine’s Parliament Yehor Sobolev, who has announced his intention to leave the Samopomich Party, says he plans to create his own political entity.

“Now I am not a member of the party. I am going to make my own … so I will not say that [Sampomich leader Andriy] Sadovy or [Civil Position Party leader Anatoliy] Hrytsenko are any different. It is the task of their teams to learn how to lead people better,” Sobolev said in an interview with the Kyiv-based Ukrayinska Pravda ezine.

Sobolev said other MPs can join him, in particular, MP Semen Semenchenko. He did not name others.

“There are deputies from both the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko and the People’s Front parliamentary factions who I could work with,” he said.

Sobolev said he would not recruit other parties’ members to his political entity.

As reported, Sobolev and Semenchenko, who in 2014 were elected to the Verkhovna Rada according to on the Samopomich ticket, announced their intention to quit the party.

“Sobolev has already signed the corresponding statement, and MP Semenchenko announced his intention to do so soon. They reported this to their colleagues during the meeting of the Samopomich faction,” the party said on April 10.
