Seven political parties would overcome the 5 percent election threshold and get to the Verkhovna Rada if the parliamentary elections took place this Sunday, according to the results of the opinion poll conducted by the Center for Social and Marketing Research SOCIS and published on Thursday.

If the elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held this Sunday, 10.7 percent of all respondents would vote for the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association, 8.3 percent for Anatoliy Hrytsenko’s Civil Position, 7.8 percent for Volodymyr Zelensky’s Servant of the People Party, 7.7 percent for the Petro Poroshenko Bloc ‘Solidarity’, 7.1 percent for the Opposition Bloc, 5.3 percent for the “For Life” Party, and 5 percent for Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party.

The rest of the political forces and parties would not get the votes to overcome the election threshold. Another 13.6 percent of respondents said they would not take part in the elections, and 23.6 percent said they had not yet decided for whom to vote, or refused to answer the question.

At the same time, among those who plan to vote, 12.4 percent of respondents would give their votes to the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Union, 9.6 percent for the Civil Position, 9.1 percent for the Servant of the People Party, 9.0 percent for the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, 8.3 percent for the Opposition Block, 6.1 percent for the “For Life” Party, and 5.8 percent for the Radical Party.

The rest of the political forces and parties would not receive enough votes to get seats in the parliament, according to the poll. Some 27.4 percent of respondents either refused to answer this question, or answered that they had not yet decided.

The survey was held on April 19-25, 2018, via a standardized “face-to-face” interview at the place of residence of respondents. A total of 3,000 respondents aged 18 years or above were questioned. The average length of one interview was 22 minutes.
