You're reading: Some 227 Ukrainians held in Russian-occupied areas of Donbas

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has reported that to date more than two hundred citizens of Ukraine are being kept on the Russian-occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

According to the SBU, its work on the release of Ukrainian citizens continues.

The SBU press center said on Sept. 7 that since 2014, some 3,280 Ukrainians have returned from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories.
