The number of road traffic accidents on the roads of Ukraine in 2019 reached 160,600 cases, said first deputy head of the patrol police department of Ukraine Oleksiy Biloshytsky on Facebook.
“The number of accidents on the roads of Ukraine in 2019 reached 160,675 cases. Some 26,052 of these accidents were with the victims. Some 3,454 people died and 32,736 were injured,” he said.
He said most of the accidents were recorded in December 2019, which is 10% of all accidents. At the same time, in September, the number of deaths from road accidents was the highest.
According to the statistics of the patrol police, in 2019 there were 4,656 accidents involving children, of which 3,900 were injured with 164 children killed and 4,400 children injured.
