A special chartered flight for U.S. citizens will depart on  April 15 from Kyiv to Washington, D.C., the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv announced on its website on April 9.

“The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine is finalizing a possible evacuation flight to the United States,” the embassy said to Kyiv Post on April 9.

The exact time of the flight has not been announced yet, and it is unclear which company is involved, as Fly UIA and Sky Up did not display any flight at the time of the announcement.

The embassy stated that passengers will not have to pay at the airport, but they will need to reimburse the U.S. government for the flight after returning home and sign a promissory note before boarding.

Passengers who want to take this flight have to complete a special form to fill with ID information, as well as who to contact in case of emergency in the U.S.,  a Flight Manifest Form  to fill out online for each member of your traveling party, and make a copy of your passport, green card or any other travel documents. All these forms and documents have to be sent before noon, on April 11.

It is also mandatory for passengers to enroll  in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) online.
