Stalkanat-Silur director general Serhiy Lavrynenko appealed to the plant workers for clarification of the situation connected with the capture of the enterprise.

“Over the past three years almost all the companies near Khartsyzsk have been stopped. And only Silur was working. Due to the mutual support of two branches we carried out orders and paid wages. The plant had produced ropes and wires until the middle of September 2016 thanks to the reciprocity of the two plants. During 16 days of September the plant managed to make 2,000 tonnes of products. And at this point unknown persons arrested the management of the operating the plant. They came home to our people with searches, took the servers, seized all the documents, stamps and removed from the plant blocking production,” the top manager said.

According to him, the company suffered significant reputational damage due to the non-fulfillment of contracts. Stalkanat (Odesa) both in October and November and is still paying “for this catastrophe compensating for losses to our common customers and suppliers – even after the full blocking of production we paid more than Hr 8 million in wages to the employees.”

Lavrynenko said the company has no reliable information about individual who seized the enterprise.
