The NATO members and Russia remain significantly divided on the situation in Ukraine, particularly on Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said following a NATO-Russia Council ambassadorial meeting.

Heavy weapons have not been withdrawn from the conflict zones, Stoltenberg said.

The Minsk Agreements offer the best scenario for resolving the conflict, but they need to be implemented, he said.
