The size of subsistence minimum in Ukraine from July 1, 2019 increased from Hr 1,853 to Hr 1,936.

The relevant norms are stipulated in the law on the national budget of Ukraine for 2019.

The subsequent increase in the subsistence minimum to Hr 2,027 is scheduled for December 1 of this year.

The subsistence minimum for the main social and demographic groups of the population starting from July 1 is as follows: Hr 1,699 for children up to six years, Hr 2,118 for those up to 18 years, Hr 2,007 for able-bodied people, Hr 1,564 for those who lost their working capacity.

The rise in the subsistence minimum entails an increase in social benefits, wages.

In addition, amendments to the Tax Code come into force from July 1, which increase the non-taxable value of goods in international mail to EUR100 for one individual sender. Goods exceeding the equivalent of 100 euroes will be subject to value added tax in the second half of 2019 and in 2020.
