U.S. President Joe Biden has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to visit Washington this summer, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said at a briefing on June 7.

He told President Zelensky that he is waiting (for opportunities) to host him at the White House here in Washington this summer after he returns from Europe, Sullivan said, referring to a telephone conversation that the leaders of both countries had on June 7.

The offer was made during the telephone conversation. Biden also reassured Zelensky of Washington’s support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
