“Political prisoner Roman Ternovsky was released in relation to the end of his illegal term of imprisonment. Now Roman is already in Ukraine, in a terrible state, he is heading home to Kharkiv region. The man has no money and any other resources,” the association said on its page in the Facebook social network on Wednesday.

As reported, on October 18, 2017, Russian investigators together with the FSB of Russia detained Roman Ternovsky, a citizen of Ukraine, in the Rostov region.

“It was established that Ternovsky, as a member of the Right Sector ‘extremist’ organization, has repeatedly participated in pickets, rallies and other public events in Ukraine. In addition, through a social network, he propagandized the organization’s activities on the Internet,” the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia said.

Ternovsky was charged with participation in the activities of a banned organization in the Russian Federation (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Russian court arrested Ternovsky, after which the court repeatedly extended a preventive measure in the form of detention for Ternovsky.
