The criminal proceedings against the so-called “the diamond prosecutors” were referred to the Oblonsky district court from Holosiyivsky because of “the ineffectiveness of the proceedings and the violation of reasonable terms”, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has said.

“On Feb. 18, 2020, Kyiv Appeal Court, having examined the motion of the Office of the Prosecutor General’s, decided to hand over the proceedings to another court upon receipt by the PGO’s former deputy prosecutor and first deputy head of PGO’s Main Investigation Department of unlawful benefits in especially large amounts, committed by prior conspiracy of persons (Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the PGO said. .

According to the Office, “the diamond prosecutors” case will soon be sent for consideration to the Obolonsky district court from Holosiyivsky court “due to the ineffectiveness of the court hearing and violation of reasonable terms”.
