In Berdiansk, Zaporizhia region, three police officers were seriously injured in a grenade explosion while detaining an law breaker who used a grenade, head of the National Police of Ukraine, Serhiy Kniazev, said.
“Three criminal investigators conducted an operational search. While checking the address, the attacker used a grenade. As a result of the explosion, three policemen received heavy shrapnel wounds. Physicians are fighting for their lives,” Kniazev wrote on his Facebook page on Jan. 22.
