You're reading: TIS: Government approves dredging works for M.V. Cargo and Cargill’s grain terminal

ODESA – Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved a project of dredging works for a grain terminal of M.V. Cargo and Cargill Corporation being under construction, the corporate relations service of TIS LLC (Odesa region), the co-owner of which founded M.V. Cargo to implement the investment project with Cargill.

“A week ago, on April 14, Ukrainian Sea Port Authority confirmed qualification of all five international companies that submitted bids to take part in a dredging works tender. Thus, all preparation procedures the terminal was to pass are completed. The terminal will be launched in line with the schedule – in March 2018,” the service said.

An approach canal is to be made to ensure depth of 16 meters near a berth. Ukrainian Sea Port Authority is responsible for these works under a separate contract. The government approved these works. The tender was already held: on March 27 the submission of documents was finished.

U.S. Cargill, the Sea Port Authority of Ukraine and M.V. Cargo in August 2015 signed a trilateral memorandum of intent to implement an investment project at the Yuzhny seaport.
