You're reading: Trial for Sheremet case postpones hearing until September 28

The composition of the court, which will hear on the merits of the case on charges of Andriy Antonenko, Yana Duhar and Yulia Kuzmenko, of involvement in the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet, will be formed on Sept. 28, at the next court session.

According to a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv on Sept. 4, having heard the jury and the opinions of the participants in the trial, granted the application for the disqualification of two jurors due to a conflict of interest and possible bias in the litigation.

“We are postponing the litigation, which we had planned earlier. The list of jurors will be transferred for automated distribution, three main jurors from those that remain, and two reserve ones will be selected. At the next court hearing, the composition of the court will be formed. The regular court hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.,” the presiding judge said at the end of the hearing on Sept. 4.
