U.S. President Donald Trump expects Ukraine and Russia will be able to find a solution to existing bilateral problems.
“I think he (President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky) is going to make a deal with President (of Russia Vladimir) Putin,” he told reporters on the White House lawn on Friday before heading out for vacation at his New Jersey golf resort.
Trump also noted he expected Zelensky to visit Washington, D.C. “I think he’ll be coming very soon,” Trump said, adding that Zelensky had been invited to visit the White House at any convenient time.
Trump described Zelensky as “a very reasonable guy.” “He wants to see peace in Ukraine,” he said.
