Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov is alarmed with the possible return of the Russian Federation to G7 and calls on global community not to allow this to happen.

“I appeal to the leading politicians of the world: do not become accomplices in the bloody crimes of the Putin regime. This will erase the hopes of millions and lead to new casualties!” Turchynov wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

He said that the invitation of the Russian Federation to join the G7 summit next year, which, according to media reports, the presidents of the United States and France discussed, will be a powerful factor in the rehabilitation and support of Russian aggression.

“Instead of intensifying economic and political pressure, Russia is being returned to PACE, and the leaders of the leading countries – strategic partners of Ukraine – are discussing the return of the evil empire, which has been revived, to participate in the summits of the G7 countries! Such irresponsible steps will finally bury the collective security system…” Turchynov said.
