The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has barred Spanish freelance journalists Antonio Pampliega and Manuel Angel Sastre from entering the country until 2020.
“They wrote untruthful articles, suggesting that Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly shell civilian cities and villages,” SBU spokesperson Olena Hitlianska told Interfax-Ukraine on August 29.
As a result, the journalists were prevented by Ukrainian border guards from entering the country on August 24 and expelled from Ukraine the following day.
