Two Ukrainian militaries have been killed in a shell attack on their positions near Avdiyivka, Donetsk region, elsewhere, eleven fighters were wounded and injured in fighting this evening, the press center of Ukrainian Military said on March 30 evening.

“Two servicemen were killed as a result of shelling of the positions of one of our separate motorized infantry brigades, whose personnel are executing combat missions in the direction of Donetsk, near the populated locality of Avdiivka. The shelling of our positions on this direction was delivered from the prohibited heavy weapons: a tank and mortars of the 120- and 82-millimeter caliber,” the press center said on Facebook.

The situation in the operation zone remains complicated, with the intensity of shelling on the entire dividing line rising significantly by the evening, the press center said.

“In consequence of the fighting, nine servicemen sustained wounds and two others battle injuries,” the press center said, adding that the Ukrainian troops responded by firing back.
