Russia should stop fueling the conflict in the east of Ukraine that it started, the British Embassy in Ukraine said, expressing regret over the killing of a Ukrainian military medic by soldiers.

“The UK is deeply upset over casualties in eastern Ukraine this week, including with the killing of a military medic on July 13. Russia must stop fomenting the conflict, which it started,” the embassy said on the Twitter statement on July 15.

Russia-occupation forces in Donbas fired at a group of three soldiers who tried to evacuate the body of the Ukrainian soldier who had previously been blown up on an unknown explosive device near Zaitseve on July 13.

According to the Ukrainian military statement on Facebook, a group of soldiers in white helmets and relevant identification marks advanced behind the body of the deceased person after confirming the “Silence” regime. As a result of the open fire by the mercenaries, the military medic was killed, one soldier wounded, and another received combat wound.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that the foreign ministry will inform international partners about the killing of the military medic by the occupation forces, stressing that Ukraine will do everything to ensure that the enemy pays a heavy price for this crime.
