You're reading: Ukraine approves provision of humanitarian aid to Lebanon

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the provision of humanitarian aid to Lebanon in connection with the powerful explosions in the port zone of Beirut this week, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal has said.

“The government approved the draft presidential decree on the provision of humanitarian aid to Lebanon in connection with the terrible explosion that occurred in the port of Beirut,” Shmyhal wrote on his Facebook page on August 8.

As reported, at least 130 people were killed and around 5,000 injured as a result of the explosions that rocked Beirut post on August 4.
