Ukraine in January-August 2016 purchased nuclear fuel for a total of $324.879 million.

According to the State Statistics Service, over the period Russian-made nuclear fuel worth $224.288 million and Swedish fuel for $100.591 million was purchased for Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Thus, the share of Ukraine’s purchases of nuclear for the eight months from TVEL (the Russian Federation) in monetary terms was 69 percent, from Westinghouse (Sweden) 31 percent.

In September 2016 nuclear fuel for $77.32 million was bought, in particular from Russia for $43.79 million, from Sweden for $33.531 million.

As reported, Ukraine in 2015 purchased nuclear fuel for total of $643.57 million, in particular from Russia for $610.883 million, from Sweden for $32.688 million.
