As U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visits Kyiv in an effort to soothe relations amid the American impeachment inquiry, look back on the last time an American Secretary of State visited Ukraine – Hillary Clinton’s official visit in July 2010.

The Kyiv Post covered that trip in our July 2, 2010 edition, writing that the visit came as “both America and Ukraine try to patch up relations with Russia” and “amid questions about whether President Viktor Yanukovych really wants Ukraine to stay on a democratic course.”
