You're reading: Ukraine Forces Advance Deep into Kherson Region

The Ukrainian army pushed the line of fire from the Kryvyi Rih district area deep into Kherson region, liberating more than 15 populated localities.

“Thanks to the valor of our military, the front line now is not on the border between Kryvyi Rih district and Kherson region, it has been advanced much deeper into Kherson region,” head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration Oleksandr Vilkul said during a nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

He added that “more than 15 populated localities have been liberated. Enemies try to hit back, but our fighters destroy enemy hardware and manpower.”

According to Vilkul, some of the liberated villages in Kherson region have been controlled by the invaders for a week, others for a month, and local residents are relating horrible stories.

At present, life is being restored in these localities: food and medicines are delivered there. Police, power engineers start to work, and water mains are being repaired.

As reported, in Kherson region, invading Russian forces block “green corridors” for the supply of food and medicines, due to which resources are being depleted in the temporarily occupied territory of the region. Russian invaders also kidnap activists, community leaders, and local council members.
