Natural gas stocks in Ukraine’s underground gas storage (UGS) facilities have exceeded 18 billion cubic meters, according to the operational data of JSC Ukrtransgaz.
According to the calculations of Interfax-Ukraine, from the end of the gas withdrawal season from April 29 to August 27, 2021, the reserves in the Ukrainian UGS facilities grew by 17.9% (by 2.731 billion cubic meters) to 18.022 billion cubic meters.
The average daily gas injection in May was 11.3 million cubic meters., in June – 19.1 million cubic meters, in July – 30.2 million cubic meters, in the period from August 1 to August 27 it was 32.2 million cubic meters.
CEO of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko earlier said that Ukraine intends to enter the 2021/22 heating season with over 19 billion cubic meters of natural gas in its UGS facilities.
