Joint border control between Ukraine and Moldova has been introduced at the Kuchurgan-Pervoimaisk crossing, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.

“We are starting with joint border control with Moldova with the participation of the EU at the Kuchurgan-Pervomaisk crossing. This is one more step towards controlling the borders according to EU standards,” Klimkin said on his Facebook page.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova announced the joint crossing point would be opened on Monday with the participation of Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
