You're reading: Ukraine, NATO delegates discuss adaptation of former soldiers to civil life

First Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Ivan Rusnak and NATO delegates have discussed the issues of social and professional adaptation of soldiers, who resigned or were transferred to the reserve.

During the meeting in Kyiv, the parties discussed cooperation in the framework of the implementation of the NATO trust fund aimed at easing the transition to civilian life of former military, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported on July 25.

Deputy Director of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine Ann-Christine Bierhene who led the NATO delegation noted the significant progress made by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in the field servicemen adaptation.

“The program of social adaptation of servicemen who will be discharged from military service is very important, we must not leave servicemen alone with the problem of returning to civilian life. We are ready to cooperate” Rusnak said.
