Russia-led formations mounted nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on April 10; two members of Ukraine’s Joint Forces were wounded in action (WIA), the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.

“On April 10, armed formations of the Russian Federation mounted nine attacks on the positions of the Joint Forces’ units. Weapons banned under the Minsk agreements were used in three instances. Separatists also shelled our defenders, using weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. Two Ukrainian servicemen were wounded amid shelling,” it said in a morning update on Facebook on April 11.

Hot spots in Donetsk region were the villages of Opytne, Pisky, Pavlopil, Kamyanka, Shyrokyne, and the town of Avdiyivka, while the villages of Novozvanivka and Stanytsia Luhanska in Luhansk region came under attack.

“Since the beginning of today, separatists used grenade launchers and small arms to attack our defenders near the village of Vodiane in the Skhid (East) sector. One member of the Joint Forces has been wounded in action,” it said.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, one separatist was killed and another six were wounded.
