You're reading: Ukraine reports over 30 attacks on its army positions

Ukrainian army positions came under 34 attacks in the Donbas operation zone in the past 24 hours, the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters said.

Most shelling incidents, 24, were observed in the Mariupol sector, the report said.

According to the ATO HQ, large-caliber machineguns, grenade launchers and small arms were fired near Starohnativka, Lebedynske and Pavlopil, while 82mm mortars continued to be used in Vodiane, Krasnohorivka and Taramchuk. “The hostiles fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian army fortifications in Shyrokyne, and sniper rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms were used in addition to mortars in Maryinka,” the ATO HQ said in the report posted on Facebook.

Five attacks on Ukrainian army positions were seen in the Luhansk sector: small arms and grenade launchers were fired on Stanytsia Luhanska and Novo-Oleksandrivka, while 122mm tube artillery bombarded the vicinity of Bohuslavske, the report said.

In the Donetsk sector, the vicinity of Avdiyivka came under five attacks by use of machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars of both calibers, the press service said.
