You're reading: Ukraine reports seven soldiers wounded amid 60 separatist attacks

Russia-led forces have mounted 60 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, of which 26 with the use of mortars, as a result of shelling, seven Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA) along with two civilians reported as wounded, two more civilians were killed, the operation’s press center said.

“About two o’clock in the morning, on May 18, the Russia-backed separatists opened fire from 122 mm guns along the Troyitske settlement, 15 artillery shells were detonated in the residential areas of the village. According to preliminary data, two civilians of Troyitske were killed and two wounded,” the report as of 7:00 a.m. on May 18 says, published by the JFO press center on Facebook.

In addition, the Russia-led forces also was active in the areas of settlements Novoluhanske, Svitlodarsk, Zaytseve, Avdiyivka, Opytne, Vodyane.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, six separatists were killed and one wounded.
