BRUSSELS – Ukraine is planning to participate in NATO’s operations – a mission in Iraq and NATO’s naval Operation Sea Guardian, Deputy Defense Minister Anatoliy Petrenko said.

“We have already drafted documents enabling us to join the NATO mission in Iraq: it will be our specialists with real combat experience. We are also planning to join NATO’s naval Operation Sea Guardian, primarily, from the standpoint of situational awareness and security in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov,” Petrenko said after a meeting with defense officials from NATO countries in Brussels on June 27.
