Prime minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman canceled his visit to Israel. This is according to his press secretary Dmytro Stolyarchuk. On Dec. 24 Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu announced that an official visit of his Ukrainian colleague is revoked. The change in schedule is believed to be connected to the Dec. 23 voting in the UN Security Council. 14 out of 15 members of the Council, including Ukraine, voted for the resolution calling for Israel to stop building settlements on Palestinian territories. The USA abstained but did not use the veto right.

The resolution says that Israel must immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory.
